Have you thought about changing careers into private practice? Have you thought about doing private practice and something else? Becky Morales does it all. Morales is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Council-Approved Supervisor (LCSW-S). Currently, Becky serves as Senior Program Director for Flatwater Foundation and is responsible for the oversight of programmatic services connecting individuals impacted by a cancer diagnosis to therapists in the community. She also clinically practices at Colors of Austin Counseling, where she provides individual psychotherapy services and focuses her work in supporting the Latinx population and those impacted by cancer, medical illness, life transitions, and loss and grief.
Additionally, Becky holds an Adjunct Assistant Professor appointment and serves as Adjunct Faculty Liaison at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin, teaching at the graduate school level. She was honored with the 2022 Lecturer Teaching Excellence Award from the Steve Hicks School of Social Work at The University of Texas at Austin. Becky has had extensive professional practice experience in both direct service and administrative roles since becoming a social worker in 2003. She has focused her work in the areas of mental health, oncology, chronic illness and disability, and intimate partner violence. She has a diverse skill set, including experience in supervision; program management; grant and contract management; process improvement; quality assurance; and providing individual, group, couples, and family counseling services.
